Occupational Therapy Assistant (Neuro Rehabilitation)

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dedicated neuro rehabilitation team, supporting clients across the Northwest of England. Working under the guidance of qualified therapists and as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support the delivery of client-centred rehabilitation programmes within clients’ homes and community environments. About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant to support adults and children with complex neurological conditions within our growing private neuro-rehabilitation service.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Case Managers to deliver high-quality rehabilitation support.

Please note that this is not a standard Monday–Friday 9–5 role. The position requires flexibility, as some evening and weekend work will be necessary to meet the needs of our clients and support therapy delivery in real-life settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapists in delivering individualised rehabilitation programmes

• Support clients in developing functional skills and daily living activities

• Encourage and facilitate greater independence and participation in everyday life

• Implement therapy plans in home, clinic, or community settings

• Monitor and record client progress and provide feedback to the clinical team

• Support clients in achieving their personal rehabilitation goals

Person Specification

• Experience working with individuals with neurological conditions or disabilities (desirable)

• A caring, patient-centred approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work practically and independently with guidance from therapists

• Interest in neuro rehabilitation and functional recovery

• Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable:

• Experience supporting individuals with neurological conditions

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care or Rehabilitation

• Experience working within private practice or community-based services
