I have worked with Mark in my capacity as a physiotherapist for several years.
Mark is dynamic and is quick to respond to any issues that arise. He is a dynamic problem solver and has been able to provide seamless care for the clients we share, he is able to provide timely interventions that ensure there is no disruption in client care. Mark has advanced communication skills. He is professional at all times but still able to demonstrate complete kindness and empathy. This allows him to build positive and trusting relationships with both treating MDT, clients and their connected family.
Mark is able to seamlessly liaise between solicitors, client and treating team to ensure any recommendations and requests are addressed promptly meaning there are no gaps or breaks in treatment.
Mark has a evident strong grounding in his medical background and is able to quickly flag any issues and signpost both statutory and private services, ensuring he is a constant and reliable advocate for a client’s ever changing requirements.
What makes Mark so special as a Case Manager and a person is he has great awareness and insight of people’s needs, hopes and wishes. He understands person-centred rehabilitation better than anyone I work with. He always keeps the client at the centre of all his clinical decisions and plans, and is always open to taking the time to listening to their needs to give them a voice and to make their rehabilitation meaningful. I look forward to continue to work with Mark in the future.
Mark started as a co-opted governor at the MY Schools Together Federation, not long after post he became vice-chair. Mark’s knowledge of SEND has helped the school. Mark was recently part of the board for the school’s OFSTED Inspection – achieving a good grade.
Mark has been instrumental in strengthening our school's governance, leading to more robust and rigorous practices and ensure we are meeting the needs of our student.
Mark and the team are committed to providing a rehabilitation program that supports not only the client but the family aswell. We have only experienced professionalism and care at the highest level. The team have shown kindness, understanding and endless patience and offered valuable knowledge and encouragement to us and our daughter on her journey to independence. Mark and his team are approachable and always wiling to help and always reply quickly when we contact them. Their support has been invaluable we are so proud of the progress our daughter has made with the help of Mark and his amazing team.
I have worked with Support for Independence on several cases.
I am always so reassured when to discover that they are the support team, as I know that they always provided the highest level of support.
With Support for rehabilitation, I am reassured any rehabilitation plans will always be followed out with kindness and competence. Meaning the client always has on-going high-level rehabilitation.
The support workers make every client feel valued, this is achieved by the management staff meeting the client initially to understand the client, the client's family and the clients' goals and matching the support worker to the individual. It is never a one size fits all approach.
The support workers often share the clients' interests and passions meaning there is always engaging discussions about music, fashion sport etc. This allows the client to grow in confidence and to trust the support team.
The support always go beyond any other team I have worked with. Having play lists in the car for the clients, having their favourite drinks on hand watching the clients' favourite programmes in the non working hours to discuss them the next shift.
The support is seamless with excellent communication between support workers meaning the client has consistently through out the week.
The support are all highly experienced and as I Physiotherapist I feel confident providing gym programmes, activity schedules, exercises and walking progressions to the support to be completed in my absence.
I have seen my clients attend gyms, go horse riding, attend college, start driving lessons, bake visit theme parks activities that previously would have only been achievable with a treating professional.
I would always recommend support for rehabilitation for any clients requiring a support team
I work on two cases which support for Independence provide support on.
All the support workers are highly trained and supported by a large management team.
The support workers are perfectly matched with the Clients the same interests and passions so when in the community often present as friends doing activities together. They treat every client as a valued individual.
The support staff means that Rehabilitation can always continue even if professions not present. The support workers make the clients life's fun and enriching. Taking clients on holidays to concerts following gym programmes, attending college, going to theme parks, out for dinner. There is nothing they cannot do.
The support is seamless making the client feel safe all in environments taking the lead when needed but also pushing the client out of comfort zones and helping them achieve goals.
The support workers all have advanced communication skills that means they can support from a distance if needed and blend seamlessly into all situations. It's this level of care that allows the client to develop relationships in the communities they live in attend social groups and rebuild their lives. I would always recommend support for Independence for any client requiring a support team x
