We are seeking an experienced Band 7 equivalent Specialist Neuro Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team supporting clients across the Northwest of England. You will bring substantial experience in neurological rehabilitation, enabling you to deliver high-quality, client-centred occupational therapy assessment and intervention.Working closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, you willsupport individuals to achieve their personal goals, maximise independence, andre-engage in meaningful occupations within their home and community environments.

About the Role

We are looking foran experienced Specialist Neuro Occupational Therapist to join our growingprivate neuro rehabilitation service. This is a clinical role for an OT withstrong neurological experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality,individualised rehabilitation to adults and children with complex neurologicalconditions.

You will work aspart of a supportive multidisciplinary team, providing specialist assessmentand intervention to help clients maximise independence, participation, andquality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention     for adults and children with neurological conditions.
  • Manage a complex caseload using advanced clinical reasoning and     evidence-based approaches
  • Complete functional, cognitive, perceptual, and environmental     assessments
  • Develop and deliver goal-focused rehabilitation programmes in     collaboration with clients and families
  • Recommend and facilitate equipment provision and environmental     adaptations
  • Work collaboratively with the wider MDT and external professionals
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold professional and     regulatory standards

 

PersonSpecification

 

Essential:

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Significant post-qualification experience in neurological     rehabilitation
  • Confidence working with complex presentations
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and clinical reasoning skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in private practice, case management, or community neuro     rehabilitation
  • Experience working with insurers, solicitors, or medico-legal teams
  • Training in specialist neuro approaches (e.g. cognitive rehab, upper     limb rehab, splinting)
