At Support for Independence, we know that true, person-centred support is about more than meeting needs. It's about helping people build confidence, develop independence, and create meaningful experiences that support their goals and wellbeing.
Recently, Sophie and her Rehabilitation Support Worker, Sarah, enjoyed a fantastic holiday in Turkey. It was an opportunity for Sophie to experience new activities, build on her confidence, and continue making great progress with her rehabilitation in a fun and supportive environment.
One of the highlights of the trip was quad biking. Sophie embraced the adventure, taking on the challenge with enthusiasm and enjoying every minute of the experience. Activities like this can play an important role in rehabilitation, encouraging confidence, resilience, and independence while creating positive memories along the way.
Sophie has come such a long way on her rehabilitation journey, and experiences like these are a great reflection of the progress she continues to make. Having the right support allows people to step outside their comfort zone, try new things, and achieve things they may never have thought possible.
For us, supporting independence is about helping people live life to the fullest, celebrating every achievement, big or small, and ensuring people have opportunities to enjoy experiences that matter to them.
Weekends, holidays, and everyday moments like these remind us why we do what we do. We're proud to support people like Sophie as they continue to grow in confidence, achieve their goals, and make lasting memories along the way.
