Mark qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2004 from Salford University and quickly gained a reputation for being a proactive and dynamic therapist, who ‘thinks outside the box’ when it comes to designing therapy programmes.
Mark’s primary area of interest is in neuro-rehabilitation, in which he has over 10 years’ experience as a qualified professional. Mark has extensive experience of rehabilitation of adults and children with complex neurological conditions, particularly, Acquired Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Coordination Disorder and Sensory Integration dysfunction and physical conditions such as spinal and orthopaedic injury. Prior to qualifying Mark worked as a support worker and OT assistant gaining valuable experience with Adults and Children with Brain injuries.
Mark provides case management services to a number of clients across the North West. Supporting their rehabilitation journey and ensuring they get the best possible care.
Mark established Rehabilitation for Independence in 2012 and has forged links with leading law firms and case management companies, throughout the North of England. In 2018 Mark noticed a gap in the support market and formed Support for Independence and works as clinical director within SFI, providing the clinical support to packages of care.
Mark has completed additional training in the medico legal field and provides part 35 reports for children and adults who have sustained a range of physical conditions including Spinal, Orthopaedic Injuries, Amputations and Brain Injuries.
